Prefer to do it by hand?
- Download the app (an
.AppImage). - In your file manager, right-click it → Properties → Permissions → Is executable (or run
chmod +xon it). - Double-click to open it. It adds itself to your apps and updates itself from then on.
In Game Mode you can add games right from the Steam Store — just press Y on a game.

Windows will probably warn you — that’s expected
The installer isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows doesn’t know who made it. That’s a missing certificate, not a virus detection.- Your browser says the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”: open Downloads, choose … then Keep (Edge: Show more, then Keep anyway).
- “Windows protected your PC” (SmartScreen): choose More info, then Run anyway.
- “Smart App Control blocked an app”: it blocks every unsigned app and has no Run anyway button. You can turn it off in Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control settings. That applies to the whole PC, and on some Windows versions it can’t be turned back on without reinstalling Windows.

Game Breaker sets up a game and its multiplayer for you. Everything below happens from one window, and you can undo any of it.
Adds games to your library
Search a game, pick it, and it shows up in Steam ready to install. No files to copy by hand.
Gets online play working
Turn on Play Online for a game and it sorts out the matchmaking so you end up in the same lobby.
Fixes known games in one click
Some games need a specific fix. Auto-Fix looks at what you have installed, finds the right one, and applies it.
Tells you what actually works
Games are marked playable, unplayable or Denuvo-blocked, so you know before you spend an evening on it.
Keeps itself up to date
New versions install themselves on launch. Stay on stable for tested releases, or switch to unstable in Settings for the newest.
Sends a report when stuck
If something breaks, one button collects what's wrong on your PC and sends it over so it can be looked at.

Windows may warn you about an unknown publisher. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

Patch Steam
One button. Game Breaker closes Steam, patches it and starts it again. Windows will ask to let it add your Steam and game folders to Windows Security’s exclusions, so the patch isn’t deleted. Remove patch takes them off again.
