How to install Game Breaker

On a Windows PC

Do these in order. Don’t skip any.

1. Download Game Breaker.

   Press this blue button.

   Getting the download…

   If your browser says the file isn’t commonly downloaded: open your downloads, press …, then Keep. In Edge it’s Show more, then Keep anyway.

2. Open the file you downloaded.

   It’s in your Downloads folder and its name starts with Game Breaker. Double-click it.

3. Windows may show a blue box. That’s OK.

   If it says “Windows protected your PC”, press More info, then Run anyway. It’s not a virus. Windows just doesn’t know us yet.

4. Install it.

   Press Next until you see Install, then press it. At the end press Finish. Game Breaker opens by itself.

5. Then do the steps for every device below.

   Go to “After installing” ↓

On a Steam Deck

Also works on SteamOS, Bazzite and other Linux. Do these in order.

1. Go to Desktop Mode.

   Hold the power button, then pick Switch to Desktop. On Bazzite or a Linux PC you’re already there.

2. Open Konsole.

   Press the Steam Deck logo in the bottom-left corner of the screen, type Konsole, and open it. It’s a black window you type in.

   Need the keyboard? Press STEAM + X.

3. Copy this line.

   Press Copy.

   curl -fsSL https://steam.gamebreak.dev/deck | bashCopy

4. Paste it into Konsole and press Enter.

   Right-click inside Konsole and pick Paste, or press Ctrl + Shift + V. Then press Enter.

5. Wait until it’s done.

   It downloads Game Breaker and puts a Game Breaker icon on your Desktop. It may open by itself. If it doesn’t, double-click the icon.

6. Then do the steps for every device below.

   Go to “After installing” ↓

After installing

The same on a Windows PC and a Steam Deck.

1. Try it free, or unlock it.

   To try 2 games for free, press Try 2 games free. To unlock everything, press Express activation and pay once (₱499 / $10).

2. Press Patch Steam.

   It’s on the first screen. Steam closes and opens again by itself. That’s supposed to happen.

   On Windows, a box may ask “Do you want to allow this app to make changes?” Press Yes. It keeps Windows Security from deleting the patch.

3. Add a game.

   Search for the game in Game Breaker and press Add. On a Steam Deck in Game Mode you can also open the game in the Steam Store and press Y.

4. Restart Steam if it asks.

   Press Restart Steam. Then the game shows in your Steam library.

5. Install the game in Steam and play.

   You’re done. Have fun!
